| What month is it? My last post was about my wife being upset
about the Pistons loss to the spurs in the NBA finals. That was
so long ago that I even forgot that the Pistons were, in fact, in the
finals. (which might be something that I should think about when
I am spending so much time following sports: even though I can be
completly enveloped by a sporting event, that even just a few months
later I don't even really remember that event or the feelings I had
following that event, but I digress).
I am finishing up my last time traveling for Calvin. I have
accepted a new position where I won't be traveling, but instead will
concentrate more on covering in office visits from prospective
students. Megan is thrilled, as is Willis our dog, (yeah, we got
a dog) at least he seems to be excited (or maybe he is excited at
anything and everything, including the sight of his own tail. I
suppose I shouldn't judge, though. If I had a tail and then
caught sight of said tail, I might try to bite it and chase it and so
on...)
Life has been wonderful lately, that is the reason for my absense, I
swear. Totally entralled (Sp?) by the baseball playoffs right now
(see above). My pick to win is the White Sox. I think it
had been the Angels, but i have changed my mind. Pitching wins
playoffs. I am currently in my hotel lobby (right after the after
party, right?) and watching the Padres (or the Fathers or Priests,
whichever you prefer) and the Cardinals duke it out. The Padres
are putting on quite a comeback, just like they did in game one, only
to fall short. We will see what happens.
One last thing, and then I will see you in the winter, I just bought
the new Nicklecreek CD, and am listening to it right now. Not
nearly as good as their first two attempts, but not bad!
I will leave you with food for thought: What is the deal with
minature gold courses all being Pirate themed. Since when did the
Pirates corner the market of the "Putt Putt".
See you in January. Sorry about my spelling.

| Me: "What's wrong honey."
Megan: "The stupid Pistons. I'm so frustrated with them right now!"
Me: (upset that the Pistons lost but realizing the bigger picture
of Megan actually caring about a sporting event. The next step,
teaching her to belch.)

| It has been 616 days since I have joined xanga. But has anything really changed?
AAAnyways, I am back for another go around with this blogging
thing. I just read my last two entries and I am not a very good
writer. It is difficult to write down exactly what I am
thinking. People who are good at this: KC, Grant, Davy. I
feel like they are there, telling me a story. I sound like a
third grader, trying to still capture the nuances of verb, nouns, and
the like. (I should know, my wiff is a third grade teacher.
Man, are those kids dumb! hee hee)
Anyways, I have a case of the sleepys today, and since I'm trying
despretaly not to drink caffenine, this day has been difficult. I think
it is because me and Mark P. Bogertman had a 6:40 tee time this
morning. And no, it makes no difference if its the AM or PM, I
always am bad at golf. Goff shots!
Feel very busy right now. Am excited for after our conference
next week. I will be able to catch up with my thoughts, if you
know what I mean. I know there are multiple misspellings in this
post, but I'm to tired to proof read. Too tired!

| So last night, the Sweetthangs lost a heartbreaker to those punks at
Sunshine CRC. Your boy, MCMattyC didn't do much to help the
cause. I felt like Bobby Higginson out there. It was
bad. We lost 10 to 9. On a happier note I got to hang out
the Nathan "luv muscle" russell last night at the can. Not only
did I get to visit the can for the first time ever, but I also got to
hear russell's tales of pain and love, of heartbreak and triumph, all
from the mountains of Colorado. What a snowy mountain
ranch. Also, in the world of sports, I made my grand return to
the basketball courts today. Just like Jordan I met the media
circus with a single press release... "I'm back". I had a
Jordan-esque 15, 6, and 5 in the final game.... I should get planter
faciatias more often.
